Constable Training - Contraband Concealment

Updated: Jun 15

Constables Darren Smith and Chris Fisher are attending a two-day training course today and tomorrow on Contraband Concealment. This world-class training allows your Constables to rapidly recognize and detect traps, compartments, and secret hiding places used to conceal and transport illicit commodities, including small arms, explosives, illicitly gained and laundered money, narcotics, and chemicals used to manufacture narcotics.

Your Tennessee Constables are committed to the fight against drugs in Tipton County. Constables often operate without tax funding, meaning they do not receive financial support from government budgets to cover operational costs or training expenses. As a result, constables must personally fund their training and professional development. This financial responsibility includes paying for training classes directly out of their own pockets. This self-funding approach underscores the dedication and commitment of Constables to their roles in maintaining public safety and enforcing the law despite the lack of governmental financial support. It also highlights their personal investment in their professional development and effectiveness as law enforcement officers.
