Time for a tire checkup!

Time for a tire checkup! Worn treads can cause a loss of traction, increasing your chances of sliding. If the tread is fine, make sure the tires are properly inflated.

Tire condition is crucial for safe driving and is often overlooked until problems arise. Properly maintained tires ensure optimal vehicle performance and enhance safety by providing essential traction, handling, and braking capabilities. Regular tire inspections can identify issues like uneven tread wear, shallow treads, or physical damages that might lead to blowouts or punctures. Checking tire pressure is equally important; under-inflated or over-inflated tires can lead to decreased fuel efficiency, poor handling, and increased wear and tear, potentially resulting in dangerous driving conditions. Therefore, it is recommended that drivers check their tire pressure monthly and inspect the tires for any signs of damage or wear before long trips and regularly during daily use. By maintaining proper tire condition, drivers can significantly reduce the risk of accidents, improve their vehicle’s efficiency, and ensure a smoother and safer ride. Learn more: nhtsa.gov/tires
